Snorkeling in the US Virgin Islands is fun because the water is warm and clear. Getting in and out of the water to enjoy the colorful world of the coral reefs is a painless experience as most snorkeling sites are close to the shore and the sea is usually tranquil. Beginners can learn to snorkel on the beach at Cinnamon Bay, Little Cinnamon Bay, and in Cinnamon Cay, a little off-shore island nearby. Experienced snorkelers can visit Mary’s Point, Whistling Cay, and Johnson’s Reef. The camping grounds in Cinnamon Bay operated by the National Park offer camping accommodation.
