Breaking the Pattern to Baldness: Hair Systems
Androgenic alopecia (or male pattern baldness) is very common among young men in their 20s and 30s. Even though it’s “everyday”, it’s no less painful for the individual. Hair loss is usually the first sign of ageing, and can occur as early as your late teens, and such early balding can lead to social anxiety and even depression. While people tend to see being bald as normal, it’s no joke when it’s you experiencing baldness.
Androgenic alopecia (or male pattern baldness) impacts individuals in different ways. Some guys don’t suffer any form of balding process until later on in life. Others suffer the very common balding pattern : a gradual receding around the temples. Other male balding patterns include the crown area first, or a rapid thinning of all hair (except at the back).
If every man lost his hair at the same speed in the same pattern, it could be reasoned that we wouldn’t find it so agonizing. However, it’s the diversity of balding patterns and rate in which they happen that makes many guys feel very insecure and simply unfortunate if they experience particularly rapid forms of balding.
Look online and you would think there’s a plethora of effortless cures to baldness. Just eat X tablets and/or apply Y spray topically, and your hair will as if by magic grow back. Sure, there are hair thickeners, and medicines that can slow the balding process moderately, but there is no legitimate cure to baldness - no miraculous lotion that men can take to absolutely guarantee hair growth, or the prevention of baldness.
But there is a solution. There are wigs, or hair systems that men can put on to cover up their bald spots. These toupees can be developed according to their colour of hair and type of balding pattern. Even close-up it’s frequently tricky to understand that there is indeed a hairpiece fitted. If wearing a toupee makes you feel confident when you would have otherwise been anxious, then it’s better to get one.
