This Season Sees the Finest of Musical Theatre in the Capital
With the super summer months close approaching you can find loads of musical shows at the astonishing west end Theatreland. The most eagerly anticipated show to start is Sister Act, this musical production is directed by the funny Whoopi Goldberg. The show is based on the beloved movies and features a brand new cast and a whole host of new religious themed songs to sing along to. The musical has already premiered to the journalists and had super reviews. The best reviews coming from the Metro and the Guardian, both who reviewed how great the musical had been put together and how awesome the songs were. This show sounds like a massive hit and a production that you must watch.
Another good theatre production to show up in London is another film adaptation, Priscilla. The musical stars Oz TV soap star Jason Donavan as the main role and sees Donavan dress up in the most elaborate costumes ever seen on the West End. The sing-a-long songs again are catchy and upbeat. The play is about a young woman who’s dad dies all of a sudden and sends her an angel from heaven to look after her. The angel from heaven falls in love with the girl and the situation turn dangerous with the angel threatening the young girls childhood sweatheart.
