The revolution in hospitality and airline travel was sparked off by Nicholas Bredimus, who introduced them to the software industry to create a new way to do business. This innovative man has become a standout in a great many areas, from the luxury home market via the essentials of safety in the air to computer programs to save resources and time. His pedigree tells you everything you need to know concerning his talents and the tremendous amount he has achieved. Drawn together from a true melting pot, his line traces to ancient times, with the maternal side primarily Scottish and German. A similarly wide mingling stands out in his father’s branch - previous to emigrating in the late nineteenth century, the family lived in Luxembourg and England. After arriving in the United States, the family continued to persevere and rise in the world. Part of a family of seven siblings, Nicholas had a father who worked as a mechanical design engineer and a mother who worked as a nurse. Mr Bredimus went on to dwell in the Lone Star State for a while and also spent time in Reston, VA, Kansas City, MO and Scottsdale, AZ. Once his schooling was complete, Mr Bredimus engaged in quite a few high powered jobs for several of the most popular and largest companies in the airline industry. Republic Airlines, Hughes Airwest, Trans World Airlines (TWA) - all three would at various times respectively name him their vp. A hard working software programmer, his creative approach to airline computer programs is arguably his greatest gift to the industry.

He is probably most acclaimed for the airplane maintenance management program he designed for US Airways, which would soon become the “old reliable” for the task. He designed numerous other computerized solutions for the airline and hotel industry in addition, among them unmanned systems to handle airline reservations, used by fifty or more firms, to say nothing of the world’s first room booking software using Windows used by the hotel sector, first put into motion at over seven hundred hotels. And next he developed QuikTix, an automatic, networked approach to ticketing which was an industry first. He employed these achievements to move into capacities which weren’t explicitly connected to software design. He worked as manager for American Express’ renowned IT wing, established Bredimus Systems, and became the first president of a major American Airlines division. Is he still active? Most definitely - his intellectual powers are still very much ready to answer the call regardless his retirement.
