Yes, I may be a sucker for free gifts, but most of the time I have found that free gifts are great and I even end up becoming a return customer. The other day I was browsing the internet on ways to improve my websites and I came across a free gift when you register with an adwords expert. Ever the skeptic when it comes to gimmicks on the internet, I was willing to give it a try because of the free gift. Not that I am saying this is for everyone but I appreciated both services I received for registering.

I recently got hooked on a product because I was scared that I would lose out if I did not act quickly. Those limited time offers will get me every time. They say that if you want to sell something, then sell to a salesman. I swear, I will buy anything if it packaged correctly. I recently bought into an adwords expert program because of the limited time offer on the product. I actually did learn a lot and I wasn’t disappointed like I am sometimes. There was no buyers remorse on this package and hopefully the limited time is now over so no one else will figure out the tricks of the trade.

A websites profitability depends solely on directing visitors to that website. No visitors… No sales…

Its common knowledge that search engines love content related to the theme of your website. Enough related content and you’ll thrust to the top of the search engines like a rocket propelled into outer space.

Writing enough articles on the other hand, is a whole different story. For most of us it’s actually hard work.

Go to http://www.gutenberg.org/catalog/world/search (this will take you to the advanced search screen)

Type in your keyword and see if there are any public domain related works.

For example, I did a quick search for the keyword “psychology” and returned a page of interesting works like “The Journal of Abnormal Psychology” and this happens to be a 10 volume set.

If my website was about Psychology or anything related to that topic I would open the document and search for information that could be developed into an article.

In a 10 volume set I could easily develop 10 - 20 content based articles, give it some of my own personality and there you go… fresh new articles ready to go.

To create even more articles, dominate a particular interest group and be at the top of the search engine listings for your keyword(s) all you need are more resources to find public domain information faster.

I have been doing research on how to set up an internet marketing business. I have been intrigued by the idea for years, but it has taken me a long time to overcome all the gumption traps involved in actually getting started (the biggest one being that I am a cyber-dinosaur — my only real experience using computers for anything other than glorified type-writing involved Fortran IV and IBM punch cards almost thirty years ago).

There are at least six ways to increase the number of visitors to your site, including word of mouth from one web user to the next (you are reading this letter, aren’t you?), buying targeted hits to your site using paid keyword advertising on search engines such as Google, sending advertising e-mails to your proprietary list of prospects which you generate by signing up previous visitors to your site, exchanging links for your website with other websites that have similar products to your own, paying someone else with a proprietary e-mail list to send sales letters for you (you can pay for this with a flat fee up front or in the form of commissions that result from the e-mails they send), and paying fees or commissions to other websites for putting your banners, ads, or links on their pages.

By using these techniques you will increase the number of visitors to your site, which is almost guaranteed to increase your sales.
